Meet Jake!

Meet Jake! One of DR Doghouse Bully Crew's newest rescues. Jake is a ball of sunshine and despite all he has been through, he has never stopped smiling. DDBCR received word of a stray who had come into an Orange County Shelter. He was emaciated and filled with bloody wounds due to demodex mange and a staff infection. Jake had been titled as a "Rescue Only" dog. This lessened his chances of being adopted tremendously because the normal public would not be allowed to adopt him. He would have to be saved by a rescue until he was ready to be adopted by a family. Unfortunately, the shelter, which is one of the best shelters in our opinion, is still a high kill shelter. So Jake's time was going quickly. Robin and Damon, founders of DDBCR decided to take him in. With the help of a few amazing people and the power of facebook the rescue was successful.

Here are some photos of Jake's Freedom Day!!!

Jake is still going through intensive dips and medication to cure his mange and infections. He was neutered and is doing so good. He has put on weight and his wounds are healing nicely. His hair will soon grow back and at that point he will be ready to find a home of his very own. Here is Jake in his foster home with founder Robin Russel.

It is so fulfilling to see how happy he is. We can not wait to see him find a forever home. He is going to make somone the BEST pet and companion. He is loyal, sweet with everyone and everything and such a character. Although he is not available quite yet for adoption, we are taking applications. If you are intersted in meeting Jake email doghousebullycrew@gmail.com We are also in major need of help with medical bills for Jake. If you are interested in donating you can send a paypal donation to doghousebullycrew@gmail.com
